Locally stored:Saved cities, itinerary selections, and quiz results are stored in your browser's localStorage. This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

User submissions: If you submit a city photo via the Submit page, we collect the city name, photo URL, and any optional notes you provide.

Voting data: When you upvote or downvote a city match, we store an anonymous identifier in your browser to prevent duplicate votes. No personally identifiable information is linked to votes.

• To serve the website and improve its functionality
• To aggregate anonymous usage statistics
• To process city submissions through our AI scoring pipeline
• To prevent abuse of voting and submission features

We do not sell personal data. We do not build advertising profiles.

3. Cookies & Tracking

We use minimal cookies required for site functionality. We do not use third-party tracking cookies. If we integrate Google Analytics or similar tools, this section will be updated.

4. Affiliate Links

These links are disclosed where present. Affiliate relationships do not influence city scores or rankings.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

• Cloudflare: CDN, DDoS protection, and edge hosting. May set security cookies.
• Unsplash: City photography. Images are served from their CDN.
• OpenStreetMap: Map tiles for the city explorer.
• Google Gemini / OpenRouter: AI analysis of submitted photos (images are processed and not stored by us long-term).

6. Data Retention

Server logs are retained for up to 90 days. User submission data (city name, photo URL) is retained until deletion is requested. Browser-local data persists until you clear your browser storage.

7. Your Rights

You may request deletion of any data we hold about you by emailing privacy@theeuroloop.com. Locally stored data (saved cities, quiz results) can be cleared via your browser's storage settings.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the site constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
